The Bloomfield Township Public Library recognized that its aging facility no longer supported modern community needs. Prior to founding Reed Walker Design Collective, Jenna Walker led the development of a comprehensive Pre-Design and Research Report, analyzing strategic plan data, existing conditions, and emerging library trends to build a clear roadmap for change. This work laid the foundation for a successful millage renewal and today guides the library’s major renovation. In partnership with regional library experts, C2AE, our role extends beyond interior design. Reed Walker Design Collective delivers full-service, human-centered interior design, design strategy, and leads the change management initiative to help the library navigate transformation with clarity. At Bloomfield Township, that meant creating inclusive, flexible, and technology-rich environments that anticipate future use while honoring the library’s legacy. The result is a people-centered, future-ready design that strengthens the library’s role as a dynamic “third place” and trusted community hub.
